Description

This service enables the operation of a platform for distributing and managing satellite television channels, including providers of live broadcast distribution services using Conditional Access System (CAS) for visual and auditory content. Service Cost: Initial Fee: 50,000 SAR, plus an additional 2,000 SAR for each encrypted channel. Annual Financial Contribution: 4 SAR per subscriber annually (calculated based on the average number of monthly subscribers, and calculated at the end of each calendar year).

License duration: 3 years

    Access the electronic services portal.

  2. 2

    Select the service (Licensing of Distribution Platform via Satellite Receivers).

  3. 3

    Complete the required information.

Conditions

  1. 1

    Provide the authority with a list of channel packages and their subscription prices.

  2. 2

    The applicant for the license must commit to adhere to the regulations and instructions related to parental control over service users.

  3. 3

    Commit to adhering to the rules regarding content, advertisements, and classifications (including age classification) and instructions issued by the authority. The commitment, when requested by the authority, to immediately and unopposedly cut the broadcast of any channel within the available packages. Commit to submitting a report to the authority every six months, or upon request from the authority, which must include the following: the actual number of subscribers during the last six months, the expected number of subscribers during the next six months, the schedule of packages and channels, along with the prices of each, and the audited financial statements.

    The applicant's ID must be valid (national ID - resident ID - passport).

    The applicant must be the owner of the establishment (establishments) or a director of the company (companies).
