Hajj Expo

The General Authority for Media Regulation participated in the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Expo (Hajj Expo 2023) with the aim of informing companies operating in the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem about the necessity of obtaining the necessary permits to carry out media activities during Hajj. This is part of the efforts of the Authority to organize media work for all entities involved in covering the Hajj season, including local and international media, as well as governmental and private entities. The Authority's pavilion at Hajj Expo 2023 offers a range of media consultations and recommendations aimed at organizing media work during Hajj through effective partnerships with local and international Hajj companies, in accordance with local media systems and their benefits. The Authority, through its presence at Hajj Expo 2023, also sought to cooperate with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah by establishing regulations for media companies before they undertake media documentation activities for the Hajj season. This is achieved through a regulatory mechanism that contributes to the governance of media work in partnership with establishments licensed by the Authority.
